These are the first of my test shots.
The first 2 photos were taken in Flamborough, north landing. They were taken on different days, about 2 weeks apart, as you can tell it was a really nice, warm and sunny day in the first one, that photo was taken on my phone because i had forgotten to take a camera with me, although i think the photo itself has turned out really nice, it hasn’t been through Photoshop either, just the editor on my phone where i adjusted the brightness and contrast a little to make the colours more vibrant than they already are. If i was to retake that photo there isn’t anything i would change. The second photo was taken on the cliff sides in Flamborough, the cliffs that you can see in the first photo, looking down onto the small yet beautiful beach. This photo also hasn’t been in Photoshop, i have just adjusted brightness and contrast to make it look like it wasn’t raining when we had walked up the cliff side. If i was to retake this photo i would definitely use a camera with a wider angled lens instead of my mums phone using the panoramic setting.
The next 2 photos were taken in Endcliffe Park, Sheffield. Both on the same day, about an hour apart. The first one was taken from a low angle, i was sat on the floor with my phone below my legs but so i could just see the screen, I would definitely retake this photo using a camera so i can Photoshop it better than i did, i used Photoshop on this photo to clean up the river a bit because there was a lot more sticks and leafs in their and it just made it look untidy, also i was able to cover up the fair behind the trees and all you could see was red behind them but thankfully i managed to use the patch tool on a good part of the tree and cover most of the red, although it doesn’t quite match because it just looks like the same part of the photo has been copied and makes it look unrealistic. The second photo i also used a lot in Photoshop, all the blossom on the floor was a lot patchier before and their was a tree stump where another tree had been cut down a few years ago, but i have the same problem with this photo, it looks like one patch of the blossom has been copied and pasted. I will definitely be trying to recreate this photo because i love the way blossom looks but it isn’t exactly what i planned for my project, although i think i could still incorporate it somewhere.
I am going back to Endcliffe park on 03/05/17, but this time i will definitely be taking a camera because you have a lot more opportunities with a camera. Although i don’t know when i can next get to Bridlington and Flamborough until 27/05/17, which it isn’t advisable but hopefully i will be able to get my best shots of the seaside throughout that week, i will just have to take my laptop and camera and probably a tripod for so i can edit and shoot on holiday.
